Day 46 of the 365 day poem challenge.
Word of the day elegiac meaning: "Of, relating to, or involving elegy or mourning or expressing sorrow for that which is irrecoverably past: an elegiac lament for youthful ideals. 2. Of or composed in elegiac couplets."
Glass slippers
Walking heaven forbid
That you slip
Treading cautious frozen
With an elegiac tread
Walking moving traversing
Exploring tentative
Suppose you slip
Suppose you suppose
For too long then it is inevitable
Walking listless trudging
Like a leper through glass shards
That impale and bite invisibly
That dare you to slip
Glass slippers were never very practical
Walking pointed
Purposive strides
Slipping
fission reactor
Spineless tuneless.
