Word of the day bespoke meaning "(of goods, especially clothing) made to order."
Bespoke Paradise
Somewhere along that dirt road
Sits a glorious house that leers like a throne over the valleys below
The creek beds form a brilliant necklace at its feet
And then road to reach it is richly hemmed
Dark spores hover over tall
Gilded Windows
Archways and trellises bare opulent marble halls and granite stair ways
Cold and aloof the house stares out
It's tall window eyes are an abyss
Inside is the cold lonely ethereal
Knowledge of books
Mostly on display now
Mostly left to rot
To sit in this hall
The cutlery does the same and it shines so splendidly beside the silken napkins
And beside the bell boys
And the bell birds, magpies, wrens and gulls
The lawns are regal and stout
There is birch, maple, elm, oak and Ivy in abundance
There are pale faces all around
Ones that are borne into the vast halls and ones borne into the narrow claustrophobic shoots below
That which is worth
The stagnant worth accumulated
Once by ardour and then consumed
By lust and profit
So it sinks down
And wood is only wood
The carpets are only carpets
The trellised ceilings are only a flat plane above ones head
There is no art
Derelict and hollowed out
This is its death.
