But the paths are not straight

You have glimpsed mysteries along the trail which are a fog to me as I glance back
I take your hand and the path ahead is clearer
The edges are hazy but with each step
my horizon is all the clearer
Each step is surer than the last
We pave each step
Intertwining our memories
Weaving together our experience
Ahead there will be dips
And crossroads
I have felt my heart sink into chasms
Knowing the trials we will face on this road
The missteps that threaten to tear asunder all that has been built
Where our paths split
But even at the splitting and rupturing of my world
I know the paths will curl back
And there in the haze we shall
Reunite
